Project intro
How might we unify fans, artists, and venues into one seamless music discovery ecosystem?
MyStage Music is a startup mobile app focused on music event discovery for emerging, local artists. As a Product Design Intern, I helped revamp its Home Feed, Artist Discovery, Profiles & also introduced a whole new Ticketing feature, all of which are expected to be implemented by Fall 2026.

Problem statement
"A feed of user-generated contents won't necessarily increase engagement activities…"
MyStage lacks engaging ways for users to explore its content, and only about 10% of registered users use the app daily. Currently, its Home is a feed of user-generated contents, something unintuitive for a recent start-up with a low user base.

Reimagining MyStage: Four ship-ready redesigns to spark real engagements
REdesigned home feed & Artist Discovery
A discovery-driven home with multi-horizontal scrolling
I led competitive research across music event discovery platforms to reimagine the Home Feed & Artist Discovery—transforming them into a more dynamic space through channels of horizontal scrolling. Artist Discovery is also refined with a more detail filtering system.

REdesigned Fan, VEnue & Artist Profile
Revamped profiles with personal twists
Music discovery thrives on the thrill of scrolling. With dynamic tabbed content sliders, and integrated event schedules for Artists, Fans & Venues, I made each profile inviting pages for users to explore and discover more.

introduced ticketing experience
From discovery to ticketing—all in one app
Seeing ticketing as a key lever for engagement and app loyalty, I owned the 0→1 design of a fully integrated ticket purchasing and banking flow.

Concept works
Beyond shipped features, I also developed several forward-looking concept designs
As a content discovery app, I also fleshed out MyStage’s search and filtering systems based on the multi-channel structure we defined for Home and Artist Discovery. While these concepts aren't currently slated for development, they pushed for forward-thinking around these features, seeing them as non-negotiable for sustaining a loyal user base.
